Refuse
Pick-Up
The Village has a contract with Land & Lakes Disposal Services
for residential and 2 flat apartment refuse pick-up. Garbage
must be placed in a 95-gallon container, which is provided by
Land & Lakes.
Additional containers can be obtained directly from Land &
Lakes (a rental charge will apply.) Yard waste labels can be affixed to containers no
larger than 35-gallon capacity. These labels may be obtained
at the Village Hall. Business and multi-family buildings need
to contract their own refuse company and they will need to be
registered with the Village.
Recycling service has recently been changed to take place
every other week rather than weekly. All households in Chicago
Ridge should have received one 95-gallon container for
recycling. The recycling toter should be placed at the curb

Illinois E-Waste Law
On January 1, 2012 Illinois Electronic Products Recycling and
Reuse Act begins. This act prohibits the mixing of municipal
