James Saunoris
 James
Saunoris is the owner and manager of James Saunoris &
Sons, a well-known and trusted Chicago Ridge retailer of
Garden, Nursery and Floral supplies. The business has been a Chicago Ridge landmark since
1939.
James
was in one of the first graduating classes from Our Lady of
the Ridge School, and also graduated from Blue Island
Community High School. While
managing the family business, Jim continued his education with
business management courses at local universities.
Before first being
elected a Trustee in 1989, Jim served two years on the
Village’s Planning and Development Commission and Zoning
Board of Appeals. As
a well-respected and knowledgeable businessman, Jim has put
his talents to good use on the Board, serving as Chairman of
the Trustees’ Building and Grounds Committee, and has
recently taken over as Chair of the Police Committee.
Jim
has been a resident of Chicago Ridge for over 45 years. He and his wife, Sandra, a lifelong resident of the
Village, have raised three children and are the proud
grandparents of seven grandsons and one granddaughter.
